finding your people: building real connection & community in Washington, DC
A Therapy Group for Young Adults in the DMV Seeking Real Human Connection.
The line between networking and making real friends in DC can get blurred. For young professionals and college students, the high-pressure DMV hustle culture and the demands of college can make your social life feel like a performance rather than a grounding, essential part of you.
It’s a common, valid experience to feel lonely—full stop. Even when your calendar is packed, you have friends, or your social media accounts show you to be active, engaged, and influential.
Connection and belonging are core human needs. This therapy group in Washington, DC is a space for 20- and 30-somethings experiencing isolation or disconnection. Its purpose is to examine your experiences and give you tools to build meaningful community through relatable and validating therapeutic work.
If that sounds like you, let’s get you started with Finding Your People.
What This Connection-Focused Therapy Group Explores
Finding Your People is a therapy group designed to help you explore, discuss, and reflect with other 20-and 30- somethings on the patterns surrounding loneliness and belonging.
Through authentic conversation, we hold space for:
Breaking Relational Patterns: Identifying roles like “performing,” “fixing,” or “people-pleasing” that can lead to one-sided, draining relationships.
Unfiltered Connection: Moving past the overly polished social media version of yourself to find real-life, candid moments of belonging.
Healthy Boundaries: Learning how to protect your emotional energy while remaining open to mutual, sustainable support.
Navigating Transitions: Normalizing the experience of feeling left out socially while navigating the big life changes of your 20s and 30s.
Who Finding Your People Therapy Group Is For
This small group is designed for insightful and reflective college students, grad students, and young professionals (ages 18-39) in the DC area who are seeking deeper friendships and a more grounded sense of belonging. All genders and backgrounds are welcome.

You value emotional safety, representation, and validation while seeking to understand your own relational needs.
You feel lonely or socially burnt out and are ready to move out of old ruts, toward more mutual and authentic relating.
A Therapy Group for Authentic Relating
